Overview
The Polt Chrome Extension (“Extension”) is published by Polt AI inc. (“Polt”, “we”, “us”). It connects your Gmail or Outlook inbox to the Polt TMS so you can turn emails into shipment documents, check carriers and estimate rates without leaving your browser.
This policy explains what data the Extension accesses, why, where it goes and how long it is kept.
Summary: The Extension only sends data to the Polt TMS you are signed in to. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything other than the feature you are using.

What the Extension does not do
It does not read emails you have not opened.
It does not scan your inbox, contacts, calendar or any other Google or Microsoft data.
It does not collect your browsing history or track the pages you visit.
It does not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking.
It does not sell or share data with anyone.
Where data is sent
All network requests from the Extension go only to Polt’s own systems:
tms.polt.ai, the Polt TMS (imports, carrier checks, rate estimates)
sso.polt.ai, Polt sign-in (secure sign-in only)
No data is sent to Google, Microsoft or any other third party.
Security
All communication uses HTTPS.
Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE.
Sign-in tokens are kept in the Extension’s own storage, which websites cannot read.
Email content is kept on your device only for the few seconds an import takes.
Data retention
Email content and attachments are deleted from your device as soon as an import finishes or fails, and no later than 5 minutes after capture. Sign-in tokens are kept until you sign out. Everything the Extension stores on your device is removed when you uninstall it.
Data you import into the Polt TMS is kept there under your company’s account, in line with https://polt.ai/privacy-policy and your company’s agreement with Polt.

Children
The Extension is for freight industry professionals with a Polt TMS account. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If the Extension’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date, and note the change in the Chrome Web Store release notes.
